Bhalia Wheat are rich in Gluten, a type of amino acid. It is also rich in protein. It has high amount of carotene and has low absorption of water. Also known as Daudkhani wheat, these grains are mainly cultivated in the Bhal region of Gujarat. The wheat has a higher protein content and has a slightly sweeter taste to it. It has higher gluten content and carotene which reduces the risk of cancer, heart diseases and cognitive disorders.
